We’re a home-tuition network based on Ashok Rajpath, Patna. Parents tell us what their child needs; tutors tell us what they teach. Our job is making the right introduction — and standing behind it.
Our story
Good tutors exist in every neighbourhood. Finding one shouldn’t depend on luck.
For most families in Patna, finding a home tutor used to mean asking around, trusting a stranger and hoping it worked out. Gurukul started to change that: one place where parents can describe exactly what they need, and where tutors are known, verified and accountable.
Over 11+ years that simple idea has grown into a network of 3,000+ tutors who have taught 3,200+ students — from nursery rhymes to IIT-JEE mechanics and B.Com economics. We’ve also made a point of helping students from less-privileged families find good teachers, because a great tutor can change a child’s path.
The promise hasn’t changed: no registration fee for parents, a free first class so you can judge for yourself, and a real person to call when you need us.

How we vet tutors
Trust is earned before the first class.
Here’s what happens before a Gurukul tutor is ever introduced to your family.
Identity verification
Every tutor’s ID is checked before they join. We also ask parents to see the tutor’s ID at the first class.
Subject & qualification check
We confirm what each tutor has studied and which subjects and classes they can genuinely teach.
A real conversation
Our coordinators speak with each tutor about experience, teaching style and the areas they can travel to.
Trial-class feedback
After the free trial we check in with the parent. If it isn’t right, we suggest someone else.
Yearly renewal
Tutor registration runs for one year from joining, so our network stays current and accountable.

Yes. Your first trial class is free. If you are not satisfied with the tutor, you are under no obligation to pay — we will either suggest another tutor or you can simply stop there.
No. There is no registration fee for students or parents. You only pay tuition fees once you decide to continue after the trial.
Of course. Tell us your preference when you enquire and we will only suggest tutors who match it.
Every tutor goes through ID verification and a conversation with our coordinators about their subjects, classes and experience. We also ask parents for feedback after the trial class. We recommend that parents verify the tutor’s ID at the first class too.
Please pay tuition fees only through Gurukul’s process, not informally to the tutor. This keeps a clear record for both sides and lets us help if anything goes wrong.
Tuition fees are non-refundable. That said, we look at every situation individually and can adjust fees case by case — just talk to us.
Tutor registration is valid for one year from the date you join. We will remind you when it is time to renew.
